I sympathize with small merchants who run a catalog, either in print or on line. It takes great amounts of capital to have things in stock so the model often includes a stocking distributor. Order from merchant who orders from the distributor to start the process. Can take a few days if the distributor isn't local. And the distributor may have stocking problems of his own.
There's a myth that a merchant is required by law to only charge your credit card when they ship the merchandise. Not true. However it's a good business practice and avoids disputes like this.

Can not say enough good things about these guys, have not received my parts yet but their customer service has been top notch. Extremely fast email responses, help figure out a solution to parts that were currently out of stock, could not be happier thus far. Would buy again, and would absolutely recommend to anyone. Ryan, thanks for everything!

I was excited with making another purchase with Moddiction as i've purchased from them before, but I placed an order on July 4th and called and left a voicemail on Friday 7 July. I get a call back and the guy i spoke with told me that with the holiday weekend they had a lot of orders and my order was probably in the truck and i'd get a shipment update with tracking. It wasn't until today, 11 July that i received a shipment confirmation that it finally was sent out. I'm not really happy that as a customer, I made a purchase and paid for a product and didn't get a shipment confirmation for a week. I'm pretty understanding but the from a customer service aspect, i didn't really get any information unless i kept calling and leaving voicemails isn't a good way to treat any customer, let alone a repeat customer that has supported you.

Sorry for the delay with your order. With the July 4th holiday it backed things up a few days. Looks like it actually shipped out yesterday but wasn't updated until today. Normally we try and ship out same or next business day but depends on the part. This took 4 business days to ship out which I do apologize for. Warehouses were really backed up with orders from holiday sale so took an extra couple days to get out.

So far Moddiction has missed timelines and zero communication on this group buy:

Sorry, moderator had closed the group buy thread for some reason. I did reply to the updated thread though. Shifters are taking longer than expected unfortunately but are in production.
