2009 is the Last Year of Production for Honda S2000
Following previous news regarding the end of S2000, V8 program and CR-Z convertible Honda officially announced that the year of 2009 is the last year of production for the S2000.
“A sports convertible that was designed by enthusiast for enthusiasts”, John Mendel, executive vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc said. He added that the S2000 raised the bar and competition for all future roadster and is already a classic sports car as considered by many Honda fans.
The S2000 is sold in 64 countries around the world with cumulative world-wide sales of over 110,000 units since its introduction in 1999. Over 65,000 S2000s have been sold in the United States since 1999.
