2009 is the Last Year of Production for Honda S2000

http://autocult.com.au/img/gallery/RevNews1064.jpgFollowing previous news regarding the end of S2000, V8 program and CR-Z convertible Honda officially announced that the year of 2009 is the last year of production for the S2000.

“A sports convertible that was designed by enthusiast for enthusiasts”, John Mendel, executive vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc said. He added that the S2000 raised the bar and competition for all future roadster and is already a classic sports car as considered by many Honda fans.

The S2000 is sold in 64 countries around the world with cumulative world-wide sales of over 110,000 units since its introduction in 1999. Over 65,000 S2000s have been sold in the United States since 1999.

    Thank you Honda, gonna miss the car. Luckily I still have mine. I wish it could still be in production for a longer time!

    Well, I’m still enjoying mine. An 04 with 50k miles. Kept in the garage until summer. No mods and still runs like new “after all , it’s a Honda. I sure hope they keep working on the S- line. Maybe a 3000 or something like that. Guess I’ll drive it a little less and buy something to kick around in that gets good gas mileage. THANKS TO HONDA FOR BUILDING A SPORTY TWO SEATER CONVERTIBLE THAT I COULD AFFORD.

    Dissapointed to see this car go. I wanted to get the newer 3000 version that would have came out. Honda should bring this back and make it faster and stronger. I’ll have to keep mine now.
