Anyone that knows a little bit about cars is well aware of the greatness that is the Honda S2000, but much of what makes this particular model great are the engines that power it - the F20C and F22C1. Two of the most efficient engines ever built in terms of horsepower per liter, these two inline fours have received plenty of accolades over the years, but that list now includes recognition from an unlikely source - ChatGPT.

We know this because SlashGear recently asked the mega-popular artificial intelligence tool what the best engine ever made is, and the results didn't really disappoint. While the implications of this kind of AI are a bit scary for some, at least we know that it has solid taste in cars, at least.

Solid Taste

This is because the software tool chose the F20C as one of its greatest engines of all time, for a few good reasons. "The Honda S2000 was known for its high-revving engine, which produced an impressive amount of power for its size. The F20C engine was a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that could rev up to 9,000 RPMs," ChatGPT said.

Good Company

The F20C was joined by some good company, as one might imagine, including some from a few lofty automakers with a reputation for doing precisely that - such as Ferrari. "The Ferrari 3.9-liter V8 is a turbocharged engine that is used in the Ferrari 488 GTB and Spider. It produces an incredible 661 horsepower and is known for its performance and sound," ChatGPT said of that particular engine.

Another good choice was Porsche's famous flat-six family of engines, which have powered the 911 since its inception. "The Porsche 911 has been using a flat-six engine for decades, and it has earned a reputation for its power, smoothness, and distinct sound."

Then we have Toyota's 2JZ-GTE, which is most famous for its appearance in later Supra models. "This engine was used in the Toyota Supra and is known for its impressive performance and reliability. It's a turbocharged inline-six engine that has become popular in the aftermarket tuning community."
