Shooting Brake

Many have given the Honda S2000 their own personal styling touches in the decades since it arrived here on earth, both in real life and in renderings. But we continue to find new and innovative approaches in that regard. Case in point - these latest renderings from YasidDesign. Here we have what is essentially an S2000 shooting brake, a car with an extended rear roofline that adds both style and utility to Honda's roadster.

Going Wild

The carbon fiber piece likely won't add a ton of weight, which is always a concern. And it caps off a pretty wild build in its own right, with massive widebody fenders covering equally massive wheels and tires. The front end is quite aggressive as well, with a massive splitter and see-through hood that puts the car's iconic powerplant on full display.

More Renderings

Unfortunately, we're only provided with two renderings of this beastly ride, but it isn't the first time YasidDesign has extended their talents to Honda's S2000. Regardless, there's much more to point out about this interesting shooting brake design. Including the fact that the side mirrors are now attached to the over-fenders, an interesting choice indeed.

Cool Details

Prop rods hold up the giant front splitter, and there's a very cool yet subtle air intake carved into the front bumper now. Out back, the entire rear portion of the car is exposed carbon fiber to match the top, which should also shed a fair amount of weight.

Wild Idea

It's a wild idea for sure, but as you can see, that's par for the course when it comes to YasidDesign's S2000 creations. Making a shooting brake-style top for the S2000 might not be a terribly hard task, but actually converting the car into a wagon of sorts most definitely would be. So for now, these renderings are out the only way to see what that conversion might look like.
