Hot Wheels Unleashed Will Give One Fan a Real-Life Version of Digital Ride
Show off your skills and it might wind up with your design becoming a real diecast car.
Coming to Life
Getting the chance to design a car and have it brought to life in any form, well, that's a dream for many folks. And it's also a dream that the developers behind the video game Hot Wheels Unleashed are going to fulfill for one lucky person, as they're currently running a contest that will end with their design being turned into a real-life diecast car.
Design Battle
The contest - officially dubbed the "Hot Wheels Unleashed Design Battle," is available for those that own one of a variety of gaming platforms, including PlayStation, Steam, and Xbox. Users can submit their designs for consideration by a panel of judges, who will then select a winner.
Easy to Enter
The one caveat, of course, is that to enter the contest, you must own a copy of Hot Wheels Unleashed. From there, entering is easy - you go to the Livery Editor and select Design Battle, then create the car of your dreams using the game's "Roger Dodger" as the basis for your creation.
Limitations
As one might imagine, those that wish to enter this contest have to come up with an original design. You can't use copyrighted materials, nor anything offensive or defamatory toward others. In terms of colors, only four can be used, though the vehicle is also broken down into four planes, and painting each a different color will use up all of them.
The Spoils
The winning design will then be turned into a Hot Wheels diecast offering and sold in the Roger Dodger series starting in December 2022. That alone makes this endeavor worthwhile, because how often do we get a chance to see our creations come to life?
