Saw this thread last night and made me think of a car Typeone are offering at the moment.

This is a Typeone Renovation car. They occasionally but a good conditon example and completely go through it. In summery this renovation involved:

F20C 2000cc NEW Spoon full balancing engine , yellow head cover, carbon plug cover, oil pan baffl, big throttle, 421 exhaust manifold, low Ten pump thermostat, thermo switch

NEW tranmission, flywheel, Non-asbestos clutch disc, clutch cover, release bearing, propeller shaft, 4.4 final gear, drive shaft

B pedal box, brake hose, brake pads, caliper genuine, genuine brake rotor

New genuine suspension arm set, genuine TYPE-S damper & spring, late type rear sub-frame and reinforcement, gazette plate, cross beam bar front & rear, center brace bar, strut tower bar, Rigid Collar

genuine hot wire (demister) with glass canopy (canopy bone, inclusive motor Assy), genuine headlights & tail lights, genuine late bumper front & rear, genuine late center console ,,, etc.

All in all its mint. It even has a write up about the renovation in the latest Hyper Rev!

Price is about £22k could be on the road in the UK for less than £25k

To essentially replace all the pars Typeone have with new and to the condition of this car it could cost double that!

If I don't like any other cars I'm planning of looking at I might just get another S2000. If I did it would be something like this with crazy low mileage and in mint condition. I don't think this is over priced at all.

I went and saw that red one at Junction 17, I was going to see a mustang they had there a few weeks back, it was in good condition but for the price, that was insane, I didn't see a hardtop either.

Also I wouldn't trust J17 as far as I could throw them, took out a 350Z that looked great and had an MOT a week old, noticed a funny squeak and clunk, sounded like a problem ball joint or suspension and the guy said "Oh don't worry it will have it's MOT and the joint changed before you take it away", I mentioned it had it's MOT already last week and he just kinda looked at me, not sure what to say. At that point I left...

You see some cars sit at dealers for years. There was a burnt orange exige that a dealer was selling for 3 years . I'm certain they like specific cars to sit on their books .
