Clutch appears to have gone... Options?
Hi.
So it looks like the clutch has give up on me whilst driving home, luckily only 5 minutes away! Just lost drive and can put the car into gear, let the clutch out and no drive. Can also start the car in gear with the clutch out and it doesn't lurch forwards so believe it's most probably the centre plate has gone.
So, what's the best option, go for a replacement OEM clutch or upgrade at the same time?
Any rough ideas on cost? I'm thinking of doing it myself as have done a couple of clutch replacements before and will do a few other bits whilst I'm at it.

General consensus is OEM for road, a handful of others for forced aspiration (TC/SC).

Only other time I'd had something like this was a friends cars whose centre plate sheared so no drive was given to the gearbox.
I'll be honest I got the car home and that was that so haven't checked anything else since.
