Help, please? Overheating/Coolant problems

An update.
Car spent a few days at Crown Honda, Bushey for the work to be carried out. Head had 6 1/1000ths of an inch skimmed off it and gasket etc replaced.
Car has done a good few miles now, including a Ricky Run which involved some VTEC . Coolant levels when cold are solid at the Max level in the reservoir.
Hopefully the saga is now over.
