Default HEL Performance 2014 Time Attack Build

Ok here it is!

After an eventful first season with the S2000 in UK Time Attack we are driving on with the car, developing it further to compete against some serious machinery. To do this, we need to make alot of changes!

This thread will follow the build from here, documenting all the changes we make and the justifications for doing them....

For those who missed the 'shell up' build leading upto this years track action, here is the previous build thread link - 2013 Build

One area where alot of weight can be saved immediately on the car without any work is the wheels........

We've been looking at some forged wheels with a dealer of ours overseas who works with some WTCC teams. This is one of the wheels they produce, 18" and under 6kg.....

There are a number of styles, sizes and colours to choose, and it's not something we need to finalise now as we will be busy sorting the rest of the car in the coming months, but here's some of the images we've been looking at...

We've also being re-working the front wings too, to allow us to run wider front wheels next year. Took an inch out the wing and the lip out by an inch as well.

Looking really good and those wheels look great.. Think they'd stand up to everyday use?

As for the new build, have you got any wallpaper size & quality pictures? I could do with a new wallpaper on my work PC :-)

Yes it's the Geartronics paddle shift kit. Can be fitted to the Quaife gearbox, and potentially gear changes programmed into the ECU if we want, so the driver has literally no changes to do himself (unless he wants to override the system).

One of the Time Attack Pro cars started using a similar system (with a different box as it's on an evo) late this season - SVA Imports Evo with Paddle Shift
