why are so many s2000 s being scrapped?

for the older ones with more miles on them and rust patches and siezed suspension etc, its alot of money to put into it when you probably wont see a return on it (only applicable if you aren't planning on keeping it for the rest of your life). Mine had the same issues above, i would have been lucky to get more than 3.5k for it so its better off stripping it for parts as its worth alot more.
for example i just stripped a 2002 with 70 odd thousand miles on the clocks that was rear ended, nso far sold about £4900 of parts and got another £3200 worth of parts available.

That is good money from breaking them, no wonder so many people have done it.
I bought mine in January last year and I think I got it for a good price, I was tempted to sell it in summer but would just end up buying another so wouldn't actually make any money from it.
