Seeking advice on this potential buy

Thanks for all the feedback guys, you caught a lot of things I wouldn't have otherwise (winter tires, brake fluid, shaved badges, etc.). For anyone who happens to want to take a look at this car (I wouldn't at the current price and they didn't seem willing to negotiate very far): the paint condition is much better in the photos than it was in person, but they did replace antenna. I also verified all the VIN stickers matched and weren't painted over.

Did you check the ad I linked from craigslist though, I think that one looks to be better cared for. And at $20,000 with an OEM top, not a bad deal at all if everything checks out. I see the ad is still up too as of now (though 15 days old--near expiring unless reposted).

And yes it is silverstone, but c'mon..I have two right now I love it so much. And it is the easiest to keep clean.
80,000 miles..it is a fair amount for a 2007, but more important is the overall condition mechanically and cosmetically. It is a Honda.
--And no this is not my ad, nor do I know the owner. Just found through searching Seattle craigslist.

Thanks for heads up Eric. I did actually call the owner a couple days ago, my thoughts were exactly the same as yours! Unfortunately, literally the day I called, someone was heading over to take a look at it and ended up purchasing the car. I'll have to pay better attention to the classifieds!

flat out, when it comes to these cars in particular, WAIT FOR THE RIGHT ONE. its worth the extra grand to get exactly what you want. otherwise youll spend hours on end scouring the internet for some random part that isnt available and you HAVE TO HAVE.
"wait for the good pitches"
-We all miss you Robin

Just wanted to give an update on my search in case anyone was interested. I ended picking this one up for $19500 http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/ctd/5405842346.html
It had a couple tears and some paint work needed to be done but I ended up negotiating it as part of the price. IMO I didn't get the best of deals but I felt it was fair considering the super high prices some of these things are fetching. Plus I got a rare paint color out of it.
CarFax looked okay, the 2nd owners service records were not great but the first owner was very thorough.

Original asking price was $22k, the final deal was $19.5k including repairing the top, the seats, and some paint work. I thought it was relatively fair, but I wasn't inclined to purchase it at first sight. Needless to say after driving it, I ended up walking out with it .
