need help with valve adjustment. i'll pay
Hey what's up guys!? Hopw you all are having a good day. Just wanted to see if any one could help teach me how to do a valve adjustment? I don't have the tool and don't trust myself to do it. I'll pay you to help/teach me to fix it.. It's a win-win.

Take it to a shop and ask if you can watch them do it. Most shops only charge $80-$100 + valve cover gasket ($10-$15).
Here is a good article to familiarize yourself with the entire process: https://robrobinette.com/S2000ValveAdjust.htm
Hope this helps!

Most reputable shops definitely won't let you watch. Why would they? You learn how to do it yourself, then why pay them? Mostly though, its a huge "liability" to them, and with good reason. Are you gonna get run over in the shop? Prolly not, but there are a lot of legal reasons behind it. I've also been looking for someone to teach me to adjust my valves but the community in SD, Ca isn't the best

Problem with taking the car anywhere is it needs to be stone cold when the valves are checked and adjusted. This means you need to leave it probably overnight.
The procedure is excellently documented and the tool is $10 on Amazon. Gaskets are there too. Job is dirt simple. Tedious but simple.
While the valve cover is off remove the spark plugs and change them too, they're cheap. Do a compression check while you're in there.

Thanks guys. Might just end up doing it myself after reading and watching a diy vid. The owner at s3 garage was pretty cool as well. He said it would run 100-130 with new gaskets and checking the pcv valve.

Take it to Spets tech day. Get it done for free while Spets supervise with a cold beer in hand. Better than taking it to any dealer. I would trust spets if he works on my car. True professional!
