Ian Prout, President of SCDA passed today
If you track regulalry in the northeast, you are almost surely familiar with the SCDA. The president, owner of SCDA (and hell of a nice guy) Ian Prout passed.
From SCDA1:
Dear SCDA Family,
It is with immensely deep and heavy hearts that we share with you the loss of our beloved friend and SCDA President and owner, Ian Prout. Ian will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and SCDA family. Ian was one of the most loving and caring people in the world; he left a lasting positive impression on all who were fortunate to know him.
We have set up a special email address ( IanProutMemorial@gmail.com ) for anyone who would like to share their memories of this remarkable man with his family. This will help them in this very difficult time. Details of a memorial service will be shared here soon.
While we cope with this tragic event, Elivan Goulart with the support of Ian’s family and friends will continue the tradition of his love for high performance driving events that Ian has built over the last two decades. Events are currently planned to run according to 2016 schedule.
I was not very close to him, we spoke here and there at events. What I do know was he was a great person and a terrific ambassador of our sport. I am very glad to have started HPDEs with his organization. He was supportive and encouraging.
Just a little stunned here.... Sad day.

No word on the cause. This is pure speculation, but judging by the messaging and reaction I would say this was not expected in any way. To me and everyone I have spoken to, this is quite a shock.
Pretty young guy (40s), father, etc. Like I said very nice guy who just wanted to share his love of high performance driving. This is a real bummer.
