Default IMSA race at VIR Aug 27-28

I just went to the IMSA Continental and Weathertech series races at Lime Rock. It was more fun than I expected (and I had high expectations). I was not anticipating so much access to the cars and teams. The way the track and barriers are designed, you can get really close to the track. Lots of fun, but my ears ached for a day.

I've talked the wife into going with me to the VIR race in August. The plan is to camp Saturday night (in a tent - not the Durango).

If anyone else is interested in going and wants to meet up, just let me know.

Yeah, we'll probably be there with some friends. We haven't figured out what day yet though. We went two years ago and had a great time. I agree about being surprised by the access to the team garages, etc.

Out of town this time, but I've been for the past two years. Lots of fun, plus really interesting cars in the parking lot / manufacturer corrals.

I've been there for the past two years and I'll be there this year too. It's a nice spectator track. Bring you chairs since they aren't any bleachers and bring your stuff. The track is kind of in the middle of nowhere. if will take you 45 minutes round trip for a convince store

That's for one of the 'Car Corrals'. You can read the descriptions of them here: http://virnow.com/events/michelin-gt-challenge/.

I'd say unless you're really into those 'communities' I'd just get a regular ticket and enjoy.

I'll join you Will. My wife's new ride is a 14 R/T. Needless to say she has the most powerful ride* in the family.
