Hello !
Hello All,
My Name is Ben. I'm from the south in Dorset. Currently Driving a 2010 Renault Megane 250 Cup.
I have always wanted an S2000 since passing my test but the cost of insurance was simply ridiculous when I was 18.
Now I am 24, insurance has come down quite a bit and I have a really bad itch for an S2000 !!
Just thought I'd say hello as I plan to be on this forum with my own Honda soon
Thanks

Welcome along.
I'm an ex-Megane R26 owner (and ex-Dorset dweller - just over the border in Hants these days).
I don't know how the 250 compares to the R26, but the S2000 is way more fun than my Megane was. Not much different in terms of speed and the Megane was definitely much easier to drive quickly, but that's the point - the S needs driving, it doesn't do it for you.
Test drive one. Ignore the fact you don't have all that turbo torque and just thrash it through Vtec, and if you 'get it' it'll be the only car ever want.

Yeah, I had an FN2 type R before the Megane and I loved Vtec but everything else about the car just didn't do it for me really. The Megane is leagues ahead.
I have all these plans in my head for an S2000 I just need to find the right one for sale !
Test drive needs to be arranged for this weekend I think. Hopefully I will fit ok at 6Ft 1...

Good luck with your search! 6 foot 1 is no problem. I'm 6' 4" and fit fine. I know what you mean about the FN2. I test drove an EP3 once and it just felt like my mum's focus C-max, but faster. The S2000 is a proper sports car.

Thanks guys !
At least I know I shouldn't have any problems fitting
Currently Looking for some local S2000's to test drive this weekend. There's loads for sale, just hard to tell which ones are ropey and which are clean..
If anybody knows of some examples in the south as close to Dorset as possible, let me know.

Hello,
You will almost certainly need a Back Yard Special seat rail - you'll need to spacer it up at the leading edge, but it otherwise improves the driving position markedly; the seat is too high for taller drivers.
