Modified timing chain tensioners available
For anyone who has the infamous TCT noise, I currently have two modified units ready to be installed.
For those unfamiliar with this issue, an article that discusses the problem and solution at length can be found here.
If you are not sure what a bad tensioner sounds like, a good example of the noise can be found Here
I have installed new TCT's ($120 from the dealer) for a few people on the board, just to have the problem return after a few months. Sanding the worm gear by hand worked better than installing the new units, but the problem eventually returned. I have had good luck installing these sandblasted units for a dozen or so people on the boards. I have one installed on my car and almost a year and numerous track days later it is still as quiet as the day I put it in.
I charge $60 for the unit and install. I will not sell the TCT outright unless you can give me your old unit at the same time you pick up the modified unit (would only charge $40 if this is the case). I like to get the old units back so I can sandblast them and offer the service to others that may be interested. I just don't have time to chase people down for their old units.
If you are interested or have any questions, feel free to PM me.
Thanks!

Vouch. I'm running a S2Davified TCT - been working awesome!
On a serious note, I can vouch for S2Dave. Honest guy and will treat your car like it's his own
