F20c Dyno Graph from AE86 swap
I recently swapped a JDM F20c motor in my AE86 its pretty much stock...
planning on on doing some mods soon so i wanna see how far i can get...
based on my research the JDM motor CR is a lil higher @ 11.7:1 with a slightly different power curve but yall can check out the graph to see...
AFR's where steady 12.0 up to about 7000rpms then dropped to 11.2 there after then plummeted to 10.5 over 8300rpms
where I am:
201whp
stock ecu for USDM motor with immobilizer removed with CEL for many missing sensors lol
stock exhaust 2" 1/4 with resonator (pretty small)
short ram intake (some knock offs)
walbro 255 intank pump
ACL bearings not installed
arp head n rod bolts not installed either

future plans:
Aem Ems
skunk2 stg 2 N/A cams
toda cam gears ( i realize cams makes no sense without the gears to tune them)
hondata intake gasket
a good exhaust header
3" exhaust no resonator
pulley set
RC 440 injectors
skunk2 70mm TB with ported manifold
1 piece drive shaft
yall thinks its possible to get 240hp to my wheels with this new setup?

you'll find that not many people have success with cams on this engine. So I doubt your plan for Skunk2 cams and cam gears will yeild you anything but headaches and a lighter wallet.
Pulley's are another thing which on the S2k are pretty much a waste of time and money.
You setting yourself a very high WHP target. Even AP2's have a very hard time hitting that kind of number. Sounds to me like you really need to do some more reasearch before you spend money on mods for this engine.

and this is pretty much minor mods...
i honestly believe its the ability of the tuner that makes the difference thou...
ive seen guys fully built engines maxing out at 225whp and others with stock engine with bolt ons getting as much as 240+whp
these are my views to be honest....
N/A or FI ill need that aem ems
ill need the 3" exhaust
and all the other stuff will compliment the FI path

He would be the one of the few to make 240+whp.
Explaination: Its an 06+ & its a 2.2. They make on average 15whp more than the USDM 2.0. Since you have a JDM with higher compression your a little better off, but it still dynos less n/a vs the 2.2 06.
2nd explaination. Superior tuning methods through haltech, AP1 cams, and E85 with complementing bolt-ons.
I'd say regardless it will be exteremly difficult to hit 240whp with a 2.0 F20C. A target of 220-230 would be more realistic.

but im still gonna aim for that 240
but im gonna give the N/a a chance before i give up n go FI
firstly im gonna change my exhaust n dyno
then do my 70mm TB n ported manifold then dyno
then Aem and dyno again
then cam gears which im getting for half price btw..... and dyno
if im not over 225whp by this im calling quits on the N/A

For my stock long block build, my target is going to be 240whp with my USDM F20, just to prove people wrong. People hardly put on good bolt on's; small exhausts, restrictive intakes and to top it off they keep the OEM intake manifold, which is known to be a restriction.
i think its achievable too
most people consider OBX parts as knock offs but instead of rebuilding an intake manifold id jus go with the least restrictive ITB's OBX got them for less than $700
but these need master tuning...
but for now ill try this setup
i have an extra manifold so im gonna do sum custom work n see where it goes
