S2000 Replacement?
I spotted this today in Road & Track magazine:

Yes, rumors abound, but….
According to R&T, this will be a 3.5 liter V6 based on the JDM Accord. The speculation is that the car will have 200 - 250 bhp and will sell in the $25,000 to $30,000 range. They say the car will hit dealers next year!

Seen this too, Larry. Hopefully it will be RWD or at least SH-AWD. Otherwise, it may be considered the new Prelude
Also, with a 3.5L engine, it should atleast do near 300hp.

That looks very similar to an article I read in a magazine that a friend brought me this past weekend.

Those specs seem awfully similar to that info I found about the supposed return of the 2014 NSX https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/837...egend-returns/
Either way, it will be great to have a sports car in Honda's line up!

As nice as it is to dream, my biggest problem is the shared chassis mentality.
I know *why* they do it (R&D cost savings), but the cars suffer for it.
Nissan is notorious for it (350z chassis shared with the Murano, G35 and so on).
Looking at the current JDM Accord, which weighs in at around 3400Lbs, and a bigger engine making the same or less HP than the S leaves me wanting more.

Sorry to be a cynic but Honda has failed to get a new sportscar to the market for many years while the rumor mill churns out a new one every year. We know how weak this rumor is by looking at the price... you can't get a well optioned Accord for 25K, so it makes little sense that a low volume sportscar would be priced in that range... and a 3.5L engine is not really consistant with the EPA CAFE strategy. I have been wrong before but sure would not hold my breath for this introduction.
