Default check engine light p0302, p1399

Background: 2004 88k miles, bone stock
replaced plugs with oem about 5k miles ago.
ran redline s1 fuel system treatment a few days ago, burned through that tank, and changed the oil today and filled up again.
I know p0302 is #2 misfire, couldnt find what the other was
My intial thought was "gas cap".....so when i pulled into autozone i checked, sure enough it was loose.
Would that cause a misfire????...but doesnt the car give a "loose cap" code?????

Is it possible the fuel treatment loosened some gunk up and caused the plugs to foul?

if it was the gas cap, you'd get an emissions evap code...pull one of the plugs and see how they look

i pulled the plug of the #2

to me,....this does not look bad
i dont wanna go buy new plugs(unless some says this is bad, but according to the guide in the faq it looks ok to me)
so should next step be to run this tank of gas out, ...refill/reset the code and see if it reappears?...i am inclined to think it was fuel since i did fill up and then within 10 miles or so it came on.

I'm inclined to agree with you. Run through the gas (pay attention to anything that sounds or feels off) and then reset the ECU. Hopefully your issue will disappear.
