Take a Glance at Some South African Stance

By -

CapeStance specializes in showcasing South African stance in Cape Town, including this bagged and gleaming S2000 project.

Honda’s S2000 has found it’s way into the heart of many subcultures. The South African stance scene is no exception. If stance is your thing, there are some real beauties. This 2005 AP2 is sitting on a custom built air kit using UAS bags over BC Coilovers.

For the shiny bits, the car has been lovingly given a full respray in Ferrari Red. The owner originally rocked some white 18″ Varrstoen E52’s. However, when he wanted something different, he had trouble finding something else due to the offset and pitch circle diameter measurements. Eventually he settled on a set of SSR Professor SP1 wheels.

As you can see in the video, the fitment is tight and CapeStance can pick out a good tune. We’re just not sure about using spiked lug nuts with that slick, almost understated, style.

His obsession with cars started young and has left him stranded miles off-road in Land Rovers, being lost far from home in hot hatches, going sideways in rallycross cars, being propelled forward in supercars and, more sensibly, standing in fields staring at classic cars. His first job was as a mechanic and then trained as a driving instructor before going into media production.

The automotive itch never left though, and he realized writing about cars is his true calling. However, that doesn’t stop him from also hosting the Both Hand Drive podcast.
