I have never understood the burning of buildings and harming of people who are just going about their lives trying to earn a living and take care of their families just as most of us do. It has been many years since their have been full scale riots n the US but there are places in several cities that have not been rebuilt from the fires from 15 years ago and even parts that were burned in the '60s that have not been rebuilt. Very sad for your people.

This is one reason I like to visit other forums, it makes what is happening in the world a little more real. I have enough communications with the UK, Argentina and China to know what is happening in those parts of the world and how it is affecting the locals but that leaves a large part of the world out of it. Obviously I knew of the macro economic situation in Greece and that there was a strike but did not know it had reached this point.

I am afraid it will get worse there, if the anarchists are the cause of the destruction they will be quite happy to continue their actions. While I understand the frustrations involved, the anarchists just care about destroying and have no plans for after. Kind of like George Bush and Iraq actually, destroy the existing government and ruling people but what do you do after you have done that?
As an an economist how do see things going looking forward?
