It's not the police's fault, it's not the governments fault, it's the goddam kids who are just looking for an excuse, cos they think to be an anarchist is cool, even though they have no idea what that really means, and their parents have never taught them any better.

For all of us who are not parents yet, I have this message 'RAISE YOUR CHILDREN WITH DISCIPLINE AND RESPECT, OR ALL IS LOST'.
On another note, having lived for 3 years in the UK makes me eligible of having -even a small one- perspective about British people as well. I wont go ahead and compare in any way as i think it wouldnt be even right to do so. We are different in so many ways, standing on very different foundations, culture, way of living, even entertainment.
So just wonder, is all British people raised up with discipline and respect? Cant really put everyone in the same box can we.

The English go to the islands, we drink and we fight, and you call us animals. lol. That's funny, time to look inward I think.
Dont forget that the summer incidents have even costed human lifes. (altho now that i think of it, this summer another thing happened that made me "blush" for being a Greek
In my opinion, the first is ignorance/wrong judgement whereas the second is pure stupidity mixed with absolute "i dont give a **** about others around me" attitude.

I'm buckling down for a flaming here, but here's a foreigner's perspective, and I have to get it off my chest. I've lived in a lot of countries, seen a lot of crazy stuff...
You guys discussing whether or not the cop shoulda shot the kid, how and why, makes no difference, the REAL criminals are out in the streets burning the city.
Every single one deserves a bullet in the head. I was speaking to an Irishman today (in Ireland), and he's like... 'It's baghdad down there! I never realised Greece was such a third world country!', and for the first time, I didn't defend Greece, cos he was absolutely right. It's compeltely shameful, and indicative of an epidemic problem in the greek psyche, caused by a total lack of discipline in the youth.

One person gets murdered (doesn't matter how or why), and there are the worst riots in 20 years? I mean FFS. How do the owners of those shops deserve that? You say 'it could be your brother', well I say, 'it could be your livelihood'. Enjoy your christmas shopping with the smell of benzine and smoke, you've earned it collectively as a nation. Well done.
Johny's right, it's ALL about the parents. I say it to my girlfriend all the time, Greek parents have NO discipline, and this is the result.

There are several countries where patroling officers dont carry guns. I think that's the case in London or not?
