GARAGE & SERVICE TIPS
Guys yesterday I took my S to the garage (LOU garage at Metamorfwsi the guy is really top - highly recommended) for an irregular - custom service where I performed the following:
1) Changed throttle body and fuel filter. Although the car only has 20000 km I was constantly complainig about a slack feeling (tzogo) when the car was in gear and I would press/depress the throttle. Throtle body was replaced under warranty (its a 8/2002 fl model with 3 + 4 years warranty) but the fuel filter replacement was expensive since it entails 1 hour work to remove the old filter behind the seats. The problem was fixed, the throttle response is sweet and abrupt, without any slack feeling and the idle is now stable, especially after depressing the throttle
2) Changed both top nothces of the converible top (kleistra). The problem here was a rattle from the right hand (passenger) notch but since they were a warranty item both were replaced for free. The latches are now super tight but the rattle is still there (so I guess it was not the notch!!!)
3) Changed tranny fluid. I asked them to change it just in case (I have changed the gearbox oil some 1500 km earlier) but it turned out that they were in super bad state!!! Guys do yourselves a favour and change them every 15000 km at most and if you are uncertain about the last change do it now!!! The cost is low (approx 20 EUROS) but the good you do to your car's diff is dramatic. Remember we use an LSD, torsen torque sensitive diff so its health is essential for roadholding an grip.
4) I did some minor adjustments in the top (to stop some noises), the lights etc
Total cost 200

Well VAG am glad you had your custom service done and did the adjustments.
Regarding the rattle, I have a little rattle sometimes on the left side of the windscreen on the top where the plastic sunblocker is. In my case this is happening on cold days and its the plastic interior that covers the windscreen. I will put a soft foam material inside there to completely remove the rattle once I find some time.
I agree that this is a nice topic and will help others as well.

GUESS WHAT GUYS... FIXED THE HARD TOP RATTELING.
TOOK ONLY AN HOUR BUT YOU NEED 3 PAIRS OF HANDS BECAUSE YOU NEED GET THE DISTANCES EXACTLY RIGHT +/- 1mm. SO TWO PAIRS HOLD THE ROOF IN PLACE WHILE THE OTHER TIGHTENS THE BOLTS.
AS FOR SMALL SQUEEKS LIKE YOURS ENERGETIC THATS EASY...
SILICONE GREASE APPLIED TO ALL RUBBER SEALS DOES THE TRICK.
MAKE SURE ITS A SILCONE BASED GREASE SO THAT IT DOESNT DO ANY DAMAGE TO THE RUBBER SEALERS. SARAKAKIS SELLS IT FOR THE S BUT YOU CAN ALSO PICK IT UP AT THE LOCAL HARDWARE STORE FOR 1/3 THE PRICE.

Guys, I checked the adress Firefly mentioned, Vlessidis on Katexaki Street just before the junction with Mesogion. It is a very crowded - small place full of bottles, colours, oils etc but IT ABSOLUTELY ROCKS!!! U can find everything, including for example RAGGTOP a US product highly recommended in the forum but unavailable in Greece, the series of AUTOGLYM products at very interesting prices and a ton of special products for convertible top squeaks, rattles etc!! A must visit place for the garage/wash&wax enthusiasts!!
I also suggest we gather products recommended from S2KI and which we would like to purchase and make a list to check whether he has got them or can import them!!!
