GENERAL INFO: I am a 2LT in the USAF, from NY/NJ, stationed at NAS Pensacola (yes, a yankee Airman stationed at a southern Navy base... epitome of fish out of water). I started autoxing a few years ago and currently run a 2001 S2k with 105.5k miles in STR. I first got to the area in October when I spent 6 weeks in Montgomery at Maxwell AFB. I Autox regularly at Gulf Coast Region and Wiregrass region SCCA. I am married as of Aug '10, to Alexa, we have no kids. I am fairly mechanically inclined, I just did my own valve adjustment with wonderful results.
CAR INFO: 2001 NFR AP1, 105.5k miles
K&N FIPK,
Ricks Header,
Berk HFC,
Custom Cat-back,
Custom valved Koni yellows converted to coilovers wiht 700# front 600# rear springs,
Volk CE28n 17x9 +63 w/ 255 RS3's all around, (3 a flat silver color, 1 a glossy gunmetal)
SPC camber kit up front,
Saner FSB, no RSB,
CL-brakes RC5+ pads, ATE superblue brake fluid,
Buddy Club racing seat,
Kenwood H/U,
red carpet,
AP2 radio door,
Moddiction shift knob,
random non-s2000 radio antenna (another funny story)
Story behind the mis match wheels: Basically got in an accident, that ruined 2 wheels, I had 1 spare so i gave that to cover my deductible, but the shop could not get the exact same wheel (yea USAA covers aftermarket stuff ant no extra charge) w/o a 3 month wait and I would have had to pay for the rental car for 2 of those 3. But they could get one in a different color immediately and give me a small credit. Since Id rather be paid to drive my own car with a mis-matched wheel than pay a ridiculous fee to drive a Suzuki Forenza for 2 months, I took the offer.
Story behind the antenna: 1st night i had the car on my college campus someone stole the antenna, So I went to the Honda dealer and got a new one... 2 days later at a convenience store, someone stole that one... so I go back to honda and they say they wont have one in stock for a week... so I decide to wait, then 1 day later at another convenience store, I come out from getting my food, get in the car, start to back up and notice that there is now some random antenna on my car that I had never seen before, and it somehow got better radio reception than the OEM one, so I kept it.
