Angry HELP!

okay guys, heres the deal. I need an opinion other than my own. My car keeps f-ing up on me... every other day or so ill hit vtec in the car usually in second. When i hit vtec range thats when the problems begin. My car tries to pull but it is VERY VERY weak, then vtec will half way kick in and out with almost no power. Some days its fine and others it is horrible . Someone give me an opinion, does it sound like the vtec solenoid is going out?? If not somebody tell me what is wrong with my car

thanks guys
-Frankie

check your cat. Sounds just like what happened to NVMY4N about a year ago. He had a high flow aftermarket cat and it came apart and clogged the exhaust.

You are letting the car warm up before hitting Vtec, right? Because if you dont the rev limiter hits about 6krpm.

Is your thermostat working? Maybe its sticking open and never gets it hot enough. The solenoid itself may be malfunctioning, you can test it also.

VTEC is automatically disabled if the oil level is low. I can't imagine dirty making any difference.

I'm betting it's your MAP sensor. Try tapping on it to see if it helps. MAP's tend to go bad in hot weather for some reason.
