Local meet! We now have 3 people that have posted. I'm pretty busy for the next 2 weeks. I've got guests coming into town for the next 2 weeks, and car projects to finish. How about a meet on weeknight over some food?

Sounds good to me. I'll forward this thread to the young guy & his dad in Millbrook.

I'll also try to invite the Spa in the neighborhood across the street once we have a date & time.

One of the fish camps, Tony's Pizza, East Side Grill, Tomatino's in Old Cloverdale or anything, but Mexican or Chinese.

The week after Easter is good except Friday, I'll be on the way to the Dragon!!

Yeah, sounds great! I'm getting kinda excited, lol! I met up with the Capital City Corvette Club a few times when I had the Vette.

I gotta tell you guys about my favorite road around the area. I'm sure you all know it, especially if you live in Wetumpka.

Jasmine Hill Rd. in Wetumpka.

My own little proving grounds! My ex girl's '01 Trans Am Ram Air seemed nice, until I got my '97 Vette in '01. It killed anything I'd ever driven before. The WRX after the Vette was very impressive in '02/'03, the awd rocked - either ranked with or beat the Vette in the corners. Then I try my S2k on it. Woah. This car is absolutely amazing!

When a date and time are set up, someone please pm me or email me, as I might not get on here daily.

Thanks guys!

BTW, I've noticed a spa s2k with a hardtop in the Toys R Us parking lot off the ATL hwy over the past year or so. Is that anybody's on here?

As far as I know, My car is the only Spa with a hardtop in town. I don't go to Toys R Us that often though. I was just on Jasmine Hill Rd. last Satutday, It's a fun little road, I don't think the Wetumpka Cop liked me to much wen I passed him going the opposite way.

Oh the memories.

I grew up in Montgomery. 18 long years. To hear you speak of places I knew. I was back last summer for my 10 year reunion, and man have things changed! I might be interested in a run down there, as I would be familiar with the roads already.

I'm glad to hear that others enjoy Jasmine Hill Rd. My average speed is about 65 through the turns and I got up around 80 on the little straight part with the dip in the middle. Like I said in an earlier post, I need tires! =0)

I've been fortunate enough not to pass a cop or see one at all in my drives on that road. I've read about the Dragon. Is anybody going to it? Where exactly is it? Anybody got a link with pics and a map for a noob? Thanks!

The dragon is outside of Knoxville. It is 11 miles long and 318 curves. It is basically a rollercoaster for your car. Skip is going to the dragon, and I was supposed to go, but am closing on my new house that weekend. Here is a link to the dragon. You should come up for the meet in Huntsville. We have alot of good driving up here, as we are on the base of the blue ridge mountains. That meet is linked here.
