Great pics, but where's the one of the SR71 at the UH-ANSM?
It looks like they've got some new aircraft since I was there last.

I still see it in the original post, but here it is again.
They keep bringing bits out of storage for display at Udvar-Hazy, I'll be going back as soon as the restortation facilities are opened for touring, and the long term storage is moved from the Garber Facility.
I'm foaming at the mouth to see this plane in real life:
Kyushu J7W1 Shinden, the only one in existence.

I've seen several SR-71's, I've been up close and personal with 5 of them.
1 at Castle AFB
1 at the USS Alabama museum
1 on USS Intrepid
1 at the Space and Rocket center
1 more a NASM
The aircraft I want to see is in the last pic I posted. The Kyushu J7W1 Shinden, the 2nd prototype built, and only one in existence at the NASM storage facility, unrestored.

Thanks for SR71 pic. I couldn't see it yesterday, but it's there today. maybe it's the computer or maybe it's the dieing brain cells
I live near the current restoration facility in Silver Hill, MD. It's open to visitors once or twice a year. Last time I went they were working on the Enola Gay. There's a four year waiting list to volunteer to restore the aircraft.
