Default Newest Mod 04 OEM Rear Bumper Cover

Here is my newest mod. Thanks to Hardtopguy I was able to get a new 04 bumper cover to go with my 04 tips. For the most part it's a direct fit. Just have to drill two hole in the wheel well to attach the screws to the 02 mounting place, and I had to make some extension brackets so I could use the plastic body fasteners. I'm thinking about loaning my car to Hardtopguy to have 04 tail lights put in. What do you guys think should I leave it as is or go with the 04 tail lights?

That looks great! I have been thinking about doing the same thing as I have a slight dent in the bumper cap from getting rear ended last year. Can you PM me the price that you paid for it? Was it painted or did you need to do this yourself? How long a job was the removal, modifications and install?

Looks really good Jim! I can't decide about the tail lights but whats going on with your wheels?

Thanks Jay! I just had the stock wheels on because the weather was so bad when I took the car to have the bumper painted, and just haven't put the other wheels back on yet. No hurry we got another 7" of snow yesterday with more on the way today Spring can't come soon enough. I need to find a job down south.

I think I'm going to stay with the 02 tail lights. Not to keen on having to cut metal in order for the 04's to fit.

Jim,

The first pic makes the rear look a little large. Camera angle. The second one looks I bet it even looks better in person!!! Very nice, indeed.

I'm going to do this myself, thanks to Jim for this thread that inspired me. I've sent a PM to Jeff (hardtopguy) but some fella by the name of Joe replied. Anybody know what's the story here?

Seriously, I'll check out the lights and get back to ya. Maybe I'll call you as I pass by the Irwin exit tomorrow.
Have a safe trip.

I will call you if I ever need any fiberglass work
