Default Update

So to start off, I want to say thanks to everyone that came to the dinner. You guys really surprised me and made me feel a part of the Allegheny community still, even after not having an S2k anymore. Second, I wont be online that much because my vision isnt back to 100% since theres still swelling in my head. But I will stop in when I can. And now to give a rundown of what happened for those who want to know.
I started the day going to a work related golf scramble. I was on my way home when I lost control. No one knows how, but they are guessing I was trying to avoid an animal because there was a dead racoon in the path of the accident. I hit head on with the top down. When they found me, I wasnt breathing, and Had a collapsed lung. They life flighted me to St. Elizabeth's where they put me in Intensive care. From what I was told, I had a skull fracture in my forehead, a bad cut in the back of my head, broken sinuses, broken forearms with my right arm being dislocated at the elbow, a bad gash in my right leg by my knee, and a dislocated toe. All my levels were sky high.
I suffered from a bad brain injury, and I still have swelling in there. I dont remember about 2 months of my life, but they say that Ive come such a far way so very fast. All I have to work on now is my balance and get my neck back to normal. other than that, time will heal the rest, except the S2k.
Thats the basic rundown. So again, thank you everyone! The last cruise I was at, and those who attended the dinner, that wont be the last time you guys hear from me or see me. Thanks again!

Tom, glad that you took the time to give us an update. From what we heard at the dinner you are recovering much better than expected, keep up the good work.
You will always be part of the Alleghney s2k club, no matter what you drive. Check back in when you can

Dude! Always welcome here regardless of the state of your S2K! I am so glad to hear that you are doing better and we all will continue to pray for your health and recovery. As always you can let the group know what you need! Let us know this spring when you are ready to get out and cruise....I am sure we can manage to pick you up and drop you off after a nice summer ride around town!

Tom,
Thanks for the update! It was great seeing you and even more importantly all of the friends you have made from the community. I was thrilled to see standing room only at times for the dinner, this just shows how much you mean to people. As Hannibal said we will make it a point to do a drive in the Spring in your area so you can get that ever important seat time in. Keep us posted on your progress.

I have determined that there is really no Tina, I think it is Suprfunguy posting under another name. I have heard "next ride" for almost two years now. I'll believe it when I see it. I still think she is really Dennis.

My s2k family, I'm glad you are all still cool with me being a part of the community. No matter what I get, I'll be in for the cruises. We have always had a good time. I'll keep you guys updated when anything changes.

Oh, a kid around here bought a white s2k. He only wishes he could drive like me! (Minus the bad luck part)

Oh, and last but not least, Tina does exist. My cousin lived in the same apartment as her. He started telling me about a girl that has a red s2k that lives by him and I stopped him and said her name is Tina. He lost it cause he didn't know how I know her. I went to visit him, and I actually got to meet her in person.
