If it wasn't for the people who visit here....... this site would be nothing....

And I'm seeing fewer and fewer people here.

Maybe that was the idea. Do something so radical that people would leave and then you can shut down due to a lack of members? (It's that old paranoia thing again ).

In the UK some forums have had fewer than 10 posts in three days! My renewal is coming up soon, I won't bother, neither will many others.

The site is slow, ugly, and buggy. It's made worse that we're not hearing any type of status updates about what's going on to fix these issues. This leads me to believe that they are not being fixed at all! If that's the case, I will definitely not be renewing my membership.

As a fellow developer and the lead developer for my company, I would never let something of this quality out the door. If we rolled out a major new piece of functionality that we found out had a lot of bugs, the very least we would do is inform our users about the progress fixing them! And the fixing would take hours, not weeks.

Would you also assume that because you don't know something that nobody does and make promises about how long something will take to fix without knowing what is wrong or what "fixed" means?

Define "fixed" as in "fixing would take hours, not weeks". Explain to me exactly how you would "fix" things in under a day. Then maybe I could follow your advice and have everything "fixed" by the end of the day. Please share your wisdom as I/we seem to have none.

I think the point is that "fixed" would have included rolling back. Getting jumpy at people isn't going to help.

Even if you can't give us solid time tables, some periodic updates, comments, etc would be "comforting." After all the shifts in the site it has felt like the captain has abandoned ship...

I can talk about it or I can fix it. You say I should spend more time explaining why it's broken and when it will be fixed according to your own particular brand of "fixed" rather than actually do shit. I disagree.
