Default 2.0L vs 2.2L

Pretty sure at some meets we I have overheard some serious discussions about what the major differences are between the 2.0 and 2.2L. While bored at work today, I came across this old Best Motoring video and thought it did a good job showing and explaining were the extra .2L comes from, and why the engine is rev limited. Check it out, and as usual, its a bit goofy! What more would you expect from the drift king?? Sorry AP1 guys...9k RPM is cool, but not ideal! HAHA

"As far as the stock cars are concerned, the new model was definitely faster", Drift King....haha...its Friday so I feel like starting trouble!

Yea I knew the AP2 JDM was still 2.0. Both AP1 and AP2 are awesome, and it really comes down to what you want from the car, and in that case, then you can decide which model is better. I think its more a matter of preference than anything.

After driving both ALOT, I would have to stick with my AP1, 9k is just more exciting to me, and thats what really matters.

I've tracked and daily driven both. IMO, for the track the AP1 is better. The higher redline makes it much easier to stay in vtec. You can better pick shift points for smoothness, not just to keep revs up. For DD the AP2 is better. The bump in torque makes it nicer to drive in stop and go traffic. Overall I think the 2.0 is a better compromise since I care a lot more about track performance than traffic performance.

This is not supposed to be which model is better. Just a video about the engine differences, and how they were achieved.

Some people like ap1, some like ap2, test data and lap times say one thing, butt dyno says another....pointless debate.
