It's nearing that time of the year to decide what to do next year!
Below are some of my ideas. Unless otherwise noted, these are ALL day drives. Meet in the morning, lunch on the drive, get back around dinner time.
A small listing of 2005 drive opportunities:
If you like any of the above, just put the number in your REPLY and specify a month, for example #6 - June.
Also, please include how many dinners/lunches, tech days and show events you are interested in next year.
A sample reply would look something like this:
-------------------------------------------------
#1 - March
#6 - June
NEW drive - LOCATION (NOTE: I can figure out how long and where it is)
6 dinners/lunches (spread out)
4 tech days (spread out)
2 Gilbert/Chandler Auto show events
etc...
-------------------------------------------------
Thanks for your input.
All owners and friends of the group have an equal say.

They all look good - great as a matter of fact. Only request I have (as I am writing this from the Knoxville airport) is to stop having drives on days I am getting back from business travel (j/k it always seems that I am getting back on the day of the drive or late the night before).
#1 January
#2 April
#3 June
#4 February
#5 tough one - has to be summer but the crowds??? Maybe September
#6 May (later is too hot - earlier could be snow)
#7 March - dammit I'll be in Europe in march
#8 OK make this one March
#9 Two drives in February?
Lunches/dinners are good (once a month) - I can help with some of these.
Tech Days - once/3 months January/April/July (Flag)/October before the Devils Highway drive
What about regularly scheduled meetings at Pavilions (or other shows) and a booth (?) at the Phoenix auto show.
My .02 cents (and worth every penny)

Looks like a plan to me! I'm assuming that we're on for Devil's Highway again next year. What about a Jerome trip?
[1] Lake Havasu and the London Bridge, September
[2] Oak Canyon / Sedona, August
[3] Sunset Crater - near Flagstaff, June
[4] Titan Missile Museum - south of Tucson, February
[5] North Rim - we would need to plan (3 days), July
[6] Grand Staircase / Bryce Canyon, UT - we would need to plan (3 days)... not sure I could handle that many 3 days!
[7] Kartchner Caverns - Southeast of Tucson - advanced planning req'd, May
[8] Madera Canyon - South of Tucson, March
[9] Picacho Peak Battle Ground - between Tucson and Phoenix, April
I don't make many tech days or dinners but I think they are great and would definitely like to attend some.
What about a track day geared for beginners? You know, where all but a few of us could feel stupid together!

As an FYI - without I-10 West of town you can't really make it to Lake Havasu and back or it is an overnight drive. Without I-10 East (south) it will make Kartchner tough. I-10 also includes Irvine
I asked Seminole2001 to be our group dinner/lunch coordinator for 2005, he agreed to do it. With AZ Paradise selling his car it made sense to have an owner lead that push for now.
Devil's Highway will be on again next year, I hope we have a Megameet 5 too. I would still like to do a big meet here. I have a great route planned if we ever want to do that.
