2012 Meets
Adam let me know, im always willing to help if i can. The casino event last year was a great idea and we should for sure do it again. Huge turnout it was fun. We need to check with them as their schedule of events may have something going on.
I added some names to the list to show who can be in charge of some events. Jeff I know you and Jerry said you could make some of the arrangements. I think if we do it just like last year, we will be in good shape. Maybe start it in the afternoon so it can be an afternoon/evening thing.
Awesome looking itinerary so far!
Any idea when F1 tickets go on sale? I would imagine they will sell quickly. Signed up for "priority" list, whatever that means:

I better be able to make at least one Devil run this year!

I hadn't seen a list like this for our beloved Honda S2000, so I sought out other clubs who welcomed me and anyone else, too, who showed a bit more thought into a year's planning. That's how the idea for an Arizona Roadster Club started to form. The Arizona Rides out of Tucson looks promising and welcoming of all types, just no hot rodding in group drives, etc. The Honda del Sol group was very inviting and S friendly, as was the Miata club, but I'm really looking forward to more S2K drives. I would rather put my money into gas, oil, and tires than a casino, but I wouldn't mind too much if there was something else to do besides gamble. I want to drive! Please keep the ideas coming. We can all pipe in on thoughts and calendar timing, hosting and organizing as we go.

There used to be more official planning back in the day. Those members have since moved on so I am working, with hopefully the help of others to restore some of that to our Arizona Chapter. We have a structure that we have been following for the past 2 years, but it was never laid out officially. We all knew that in the spring we did Prescott, and every couple months on Wednesdays we did a HWY 88 run. It is my intention to make things more organized and structured though. We have a lot of new members that aren't as clued in as the older members. I started this structuring with the Monday Night Meet Calenders.
There will be plenty of drives, but you have to realize the amount of work that goes into organizing. It takes a lot of "free time" to post on the forums, plan the trip, lay it all out, and be the point of contact for the event. Not to mention when the event is under way having an entire group looking to you for all the answers/plans. This is part of why we have weekly meets to keep the group together because its just not easy to have big events all year long. The AZ community does a lot of things together, they just aren't all laid out and "official".
The reasoning behind the casino meet is its a great opportunity for people to get together and hangout. We get to include people from Prescott down to Yuma. After being a member for a few years out here, and going to HCII and other larger events, one thing that we have all taken away is how much we enjoy hanging out. A lot of us have things in common that extend beyond driving the same car. Meets like the New Years meet are opportunities for us to just hangout and be friends. Its not always about driving, its more than that now.
You mentioned no hot rodding. You might not enjoy most of our group drives then
lol, there is always room at the back of the line though. We have some members that are known for their fast pace through the mountains.
Looking good with the schedule... I'll try to come up to most, if not all of these..... As for the no hot rodding Dancer, the Patagonia drive wasn't AZR's....AZR was invited by the AZ European Car Club. AZR drives are usually for the 'spirited' as well as the cruisers.
