Not all of us have moved on.

The Old Timer Drives:
Lake Havasu (Lunch)
Pima County Air & Space Museum (Lunch and tour)
Biosphere (lunch and tour)
Roosevelt Dam (Lunch)
Devil’s Highway (weekend)
Southwest’s S2000 in the Sun (usually Prescott and back, BBQ and giveaways)
Several Calif. Mega meets (Irvine etc. weekend)
Kitt Peak (Tour the observatory and lunch)
Mormon Lake (Lake Mary Rd. great food)
Mt. Mingus
Pinetop-Lakeside (Lunch in Pinetop)
Titan Missile Base (Tour and lunch)
Tombstone (Lunch)
Tonto Natural Bridge (Lunch in Strawberry)
Woods Canyon Lake (Lunch in Christopher Creek)
Tech Meets in Flagstaff (similar to what we do at Cody’s but with a little tech thrown in)
Montezuma’s Castle (tour and lunch)

This is about all I can remember. We usually had two groups fast and slow. Maps were given out and two way radios were used. I am willing to help in any way or plan any trip.

Roger

^ That is some awesome info Roger. Thank you! I would love it if you could pick one or two of your favorites out of that list and help organize them!

I believe AZS2KDANCER is looking for more events like what you just mentioned.

Add SEMA for next year as well as some of us are regulars.
I think it's always the first week of November.

Good job Adam . It looks like Roger might have some really good info too. I was thinking that maybe, if people were interested, we turn the casino meet into an overnighter. If we do it at the Harrah's Ak-Chin I might be able to get us a decent rate.

Like Boof said, can't forget about SEMA.

I really like where this is going and hope that I can be part of it and the wider S community. Drives, tours, lunches, and more all sound great to me.

I enjoyed meeting RedChili this past weekend. What a great ride that is. I'd even throw in an idea for a trip over to Southern California for a Santa Monica Mountain canyon run that gets put on about once a month. We'd have to plan a minimum of a Saturday drive over and one night there, with the Sunday morning canyon run and lunch, then head back to Arizona for us working stiffs.

I would like to see a Kitt Peak drive in 2012, but do I have the correct info from Mapquest?

I can't make Hwy 88 drives mid-week, but I'm game for a weekend run, maybe on a Sunday morning. Is there a place to eat up there, or do we need to bring a picnic breakfast or lunch?

LOL, Wut?

I have been up there a dozen times in that time period. The road is closed at night so headlights won't interfere with the telescopes.
