2012 Meets
Has anyone stepped up for the March Tech Day with a date and location? I'd like to do an oil change and get my quick oil drain valve installed. What brand and weight of oil should I buy? What about other fluids or lubes?
I updated the first post with calender changes. Changes are in Bold and more information will be coming out in the next couple of weeks for those events.
I removed a spring time wake the devil drive. I do not have the time or energy to plan it, and would rather put more effort into a bigger better planned fall event! T-shirts, stickers, promotion of event, negotiating costs, etc.
I will look at creating a day trip in lieu of the devil drive in the spring. More on that when I get some time. Ideally I want to plan events at least a month in advance. I would like to see an event each month. Devil drive will hopefully be planned 6-8 months out in advance.

I want to make something like this https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/755...gested-drives/
Mark, you posted links to some drives. Any chance you can take the maps and all the information and put it into a word document and email it to me? I want to PDF all the drives and duplicate what the Oregon chapter has done. This will make planning drivse in the future extremely easy. We can just pick a drive and a date, print the itinerary and go.

Adam,
I like your idea of organizing drives for us. That link from the Oregon chapter is wonderful. They obviously have an advantage over us in the amount of scenery and availability of roads. But there is plenty to see and do in our state, too.
I have been looking for something like this for many years. A lot of the scenic drives in Arizona are on unpaved roads, and many require high clearance vehicles, leaving our S2000s in the dust, literately.
But I found some paved scenic or passenger car navigable road trips by searching for Arizona Scenic Trips and Motorcycle rides in AZ.
I copied the Mesa-Globe-Punkin Center-Mesa drive into Word (2003) but could not get the map to copy over. You can get the same by plugging the towns into Mapquest.com to get similar results. I don't know enough how to embed a map into a word document. I'm sure someone else does.
Otherwise, I would just embed the link and reference that.
This looks like it could be a great project and a wonderful resource.

Thanks Mark. Since outside of you and I no one else is into "planning" anything I will slowly start putting together some drive itineraries, and eventually create a thread to post them all in that can get stickied in the future. I will use the links u posted. Thanks.
I just do a print screen for the maps and then crop them and save as a jpeg and input into word.
