Default After Market Wind Deflector

I just finished installing an aftermarket wind deflector, in contrast to the $100 Ricks sells, I purchased this one for $35 smoke tinted, with S2000 etched into the plexi. 100% OEM looking same height as Ricks. A perfect fit and awesome quality as well at 1/3 of the price. Where at???? E-Bay, and Im not ashamed to say it. I am still in amazement as to how nice it looks. Search word is S2000 wind deflector. Do yourself a favor and pick one up I guarantee you wont regret it. The guy does awesome work and ships in 3-4 days from New York.

I used all the money I saved from this to buy a full set of Ricks S badges just in case someone feels like flaming me for undercutting a sponsor or something. I hope to have pics soon if anyone wants to see for themselves. Peace

Muz has the best full height windscreen and he has been a sponsor of our Southwest S2000s in the Sun two years in a row.

I tried Rick's first, but anything that is taller than the stock windscreen that replaces the stock lexan ends up having an issue at highway speeds. I cracked two sets of one's like you saw on eBay. For that price the material is not the best quality. This is from personal experience going down this path.

Rick spent several years perfecting his, until he finally had to provide "bumpers" with his product, but that still didn't help me. His product is better than typical, but that design has issues.

The Muz version is a one piece windscreen (originally designed by another member) that replaces the whole assembly, smoked tint as well and doesn't have any of the issues you get by replacing the stock piece with a large piece. Plus, you don't have to crack into your stock part, you can put the stock part back in at anytime to avoid any resale issues.

Also remember those guys on eBay don't support this site.

If you are looking to reduce wind turbulence here's the combination to get:
- Muz windscreen (tall one piece)
- Wlaurent's headrests (better feel than Rick's, which is what I have) - to block the mesh in pre-2006 S2000s

OR

MajorHavoc's lexan blockers (S2ki.com marketplace) to block the mesh.

Hmm, thanx for the info. I may crack it open again to put some kind of brace around the screws, a washer perhaps or something to strengthen it along with a little silicone.

As for the quality, the plexi is very thick, exactly the same as the stock screen. It came with the protective backing still on the plexi. All the corners were smoothed, no burrs or rough edges whatsoever. A very professional job IMO. I will take some extra precautions to prevent any issues though. Just in case.

I havent checked it out on the road yet, hopefully today when I go to the Sidewinders game. I'll report back
