Autoweek Article
Howdy all...just thought I'd share a nice little article from the June 24th issue of Autoweek, for those of you who may not have a subscription:
"Honda at the absolute pinnacle of its game. What else can you say about a hand-built motor, displacing 1997 cc that can spin out 120 horses per naturally aspirated litre before topping out at 9000 rpm, tucked under the hood of a restrained yet distinct-looking little two-seater? We call it more fun than should be allowed on four wheels. And if it weren't for all the wind in your hair and sun on your pate, you'd never guess the S2000 didn't have a top, because the aluminum structure of the car is the stiffest out there- more so than many cars with roofs. Handling? Among the best, with perfect 50/50 weight distribution and a chassis that won't quit. Granted, not everyone understands how to drive such a high-revving car, and for them, the driving experience might get a little frustrating. After all, there ain't much in the way of torque down low, and the power doesn't hit the sweet spot until around 6000 rpm. Think of the S2000 as a full-fendered 2.0 litre formula car or a four wheeled GP bike, and you'll have the time of your life, we guarantee."
