I loved my RX-8 except for the fact that it was such an unbelievable gas pig. I got under 20 mpg commuting and barely over 10 mpg in "spirited" driving. I would say it handled better than the S2000 for everyday driving. The S2000 is a lot more precise on the track but the Mazda was more sure footed on imperfect public roads. I would buy another one in a second if I could get better than 25 mpg in mixed driving. I loved having a real sports car with a back seat and a 9k redline.

We'll see. The existing RX-8 has basically no aftermarket power gain options.
