if i were in charge...
if you do create a new section then to keep the clutter down...
each member would get one, and only one, for sale thread for their stuff
the title can be userName's FS thread
the subtitle can be their most recent addition/description
when they want to sell something new, just add it to the thread.
the benifits...
1. the number of threads = the number of users selling things, keeping the total number of threads down.
2. you keep a history of the sales of that member in 1 location, helping limit scamming
3. the seller can sell all things together, so if a search comes up for one item, they can see the other items.
4. limited need for 'bumping' because the number of threads = the number of people selling things
5 very organized, at a glance, you can see everyone who is selling something
cons...
people try to create new user names to create a new thead, but see benifit 2 above

That's what the rules suggest Joe, but since we sell different things at different times, old threads can get lost or off topic. One thread at a time is a good idea though because then we wont have ten threads from one person. I'll have to talk to the mods about this but I think it's a good idea as well.

the other con...
people will have to keep track (think) of their thread if they go 2 years between selling something, but this goes back to benefit number 2.
another counter to this is... there will only be a limited number of threads that equal the number of sellers. It would be very easy to find your user named thread by just looking through the pages, or simply do a search for your own previous posts.
cough..same logic applied to picture only threads... , but this is like adding a raise for yourself to an existing bill in legislation... congress

I agree with Joe %100. I've been doing it from day one. Same thread at all times. And it's not hard to keep track of your thread link if you keep it in your signature which in turn gives you an advertisement.

If you lose your thread, make another. If you can't find it, there's a huge chance no one else will find it either.
BUT I don't want to see 1 seller make 10 threads at the same time. As Zonie wrote in the old rules, 1 thread per person, if there are multiples, only one will be kept and the rest deleted. It will be up to you to update your thread with everything that got deleted.
Kapish?
