AZ state traffic law question
I just wanted to make sure that a ticket for not wearing your seat belt (civil traffic offense) does not go on your driving record. I did hear that highway patrol is allowed to pull you over and issue you a citation for not having your seatbelt on though. I don't know if anything else change though.
BTW, where there a TON of cops out tonight or what??? I saw like 5 on my 15 minute drive.

ok I'm not sure which part it goes onto but, i know for a fact that if you get into an accident that is not your fault and you were not wearing your seatbelt and you get thrown from the car or using a seatbelt would have saved you from the severe injuries the insurance company doesnt have to give you jack for medical payments wise.
why would you not wear your seatbelt????

Agree with Ragn, why would you not wear your seatbelt?
I could be wrong, but I think that is a ticket that insurance companies can look at because it specifically could impact a claim payment - when you fly out of your vehicle or through your windshield and they end up paying to mop up your body off the road...err, everyone pays to mop up your body off the road.
Wear the seat belt, even for quick drives and I don't think this is an issue for anyone.

the answer to your question should be moot. no one expects to get in a wreck, but you should always be prepared. i feel naked w/o my seat belt.
maybe i don't have a lot of room to really open my mouth, seeing that just 2 weeks ago, i wouldn't back off a challenge on the roads that put me at let's say triple of an already high speed limit. i'm at the age now where i know better; i just don't do better, but there are some things that i just know to do.

It's a non moving violation. You will not get points on your record. When I got caught speeding last summer, I didn't have mine on and I got a fine for it, but it didn't count as points. I am guilty of not buckeling up as well from time to time.
Wil even had to remind me to put my belt on coming home from the Tech Day.
