Check the panels behind the seats where the soft top goes when its in its down position. The panels due tend to come loose and you well hear them buzz for-say. Check them. If not take both mufflers off and run it with just the cat on and see if it comes back if not youknowit has something to do with the exhaust. Wouldnt be surprised to see the inner welding come loose on the inside of those mufflers, ive seen it before.

Thanks for the advice Jeffery. I've already tried it without the left canister, because the buzzing is comming from the left side of the car, and it continued to do so. So I might end up tearing my car completely apart trying to solve this issue over the weekend. I'll start by removing section by section of the exhaust. Then maybe tear into the compartment behind the seat, the top compartment area, and where the spare tire is stored. In the extreme case that I can't figure it out, a buddy of mine suggested I rip everything out and soundproof spray the entire trunk and top compartment.

A fairly simple test (compared to all that you are talking about) is just throwing your stock exhaust back on?

That would be the quickest way to rule out the exhaust - and it would be a lot more quiet so you could hear if anything else was making noise.

The buzzing sound is in your head. Go see a therapist.

I saw a similar post a while back in another forum that someone else had and it ended up being that the exhaust actually cracked down the middle. I'm assuming you have already looked for that however.

i had seen a few posts about cracking and stuff too, some where the invidia insigia even came loose and was causing the buzz sound, on mine one side of one of the fenders came loose and had to reweld it back on. but i never found the actuall cause of the buzz. ended up trading the exhaust for HKS.

unless it sounds like a plastic noise (the interior trim piece closest to my left shoulder when driving with the music up will buzz unless I put my hand on it to keep it from doing so) - check the rivets inside the Invidia where the tips are attached.

I just melted the rivets and tack welded those spots instead to finally get rid of the "bees trapped in a coffee can" noise.
