Thumbs up CDV removal...

Now that I finally got the CF sideskirts installed, thats the next task on the list.

I found this link:

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=566404&st=0

But it just has a few pictures and I don't want to end up with a surprise after I have a handful of parts removed.

I'd say this is pretty good:

We here at i-spec industries use a method that skips the frustration of using picks. Drill a tiny hole on the chassis-facing side with the smallest bit you can find at the level where the snap ring is. Make sure the ring gap is facing the hole so you don't damage it when drilling. Then just rotate and push it out with a straight pick.

In other news, I found some CF doors sitting around my garage....

Thats exactly what I was looking for, Thanks Ivan.

I still have your #... I gotta make plans to bring the S back to PHX to adjust the decel A/F after the SOS Stage II.

Once I figure out which day I'm heading down I'll try to set up a pickup time for the doors.

As long as I can fit one in the trunk and one in the backseat of the CTS-V, that saves me from having to take the giant Lexus down...I hate long trips in that beast.

No prob Cody! Hope you like the stage 2

I also found on the many I've removed that the casting of the push rod is not always perfectly round. After you wipe the old grease, if there is extra material extruding, you may want to dremel it smooth.

Note that there is VERY little brake fluid in the system when bleeding. Don't let it go dry.

Finally tackled this mod.

I just used a pick, didn't try drilling anything. It was actually quite easy to get the snap ring out. You just place the pick directly at the ring as if you're going to slide the pick under the ring into its channel and trace the channel for the entire ring to slide up and out.

The hardest part about it was convincing my gf she needed to climb up a ladder into the car 6 feet off the ground on the lift to press the clutch pedal for me to bleed it.

It is a DRASTIC change over pedal feel and how much stronger and faster the clutch bites over having the CDV in.
