Default Comptech / CT-E Exhaust

I have a chance to have Dibs on a new and fairly priced AP1 comptech / CT-E dual exhaust.

Does anyone have one of these that I can check out on their car?
I need to check out if there's a good shot that a Chace Race hitch will fit with it.

I have an AP2. Would I just need AP1 rubber exhaust hangers to fit the exhaust properly on my car?
edit - I've confirmed this is essentially all I need.

If you are wondering why I'm considering the exhaust is b/c I like the sound and I need to keep levels under 94DB for racing at certain tracks. It looks pretty good too! I'm not that concerned about weight. Also needs to fit car with a Chase Race Hitch installed

I'm also considering the Fujitsubo Legalis R if anyone has that too.

Thanks for the info

Yes, someone locally has one of the early Comtech exhausts on an AP1. He just showed up at the Wed meet last week. I do not know his screen name though.

How many dollars is the one you're looking at?

I'd put the word comptech in the title as well. I know there is both of those exhausts local but like feezy said the guy with the comptech we met at last weeks east side meet and I have not met the guy with the Fujitisbo Legalis R.

Someone in the FS forum has an ap2 comptech for sale for a decent price.

Thanks for the info. I'll try my luck at the WED meet.

The dollars are "Fair" lol!
not this one but that's a screeming good deal. I'm sure someone already has that one locked down.

just rode in a AP1 with the Legalis R and I think he had an Intake, not sure which one. Was practically as quite as my car with OEM exhaust and a hacked up intake. It sounded really good at high RPMs. Not as "aftermarket" as I thought it sound.

diggin the CT-E more

There's a clip in here of the Legalis R. IMO the most civilized exhaust of the bunch with a good growl.

The Amuse R1 Titan Euro spec and Extra duals sounds really good. I wish they weren't so expensive!

I have a legalis r with a berk test pipe and it is perfectly aggressive. I drive my car 100+ miles a day and there is zero drone what so ever. I've driven a Ap2 with a comptech exhaust and it droned like a SOB.

Thanks for the input. I haven't found a CT-E clip of highway driving.

currently with the stock intake modded, having the resonator lopped off, I get some "drone" like sounds from that modification along It's only when luggin the engine around at 3-3400 in a high gear like 5th or 6th above 3/4 throttle.

I think some people confuse intake noise with their exhaust but I haven't had the opportunity to be around too many modded S2000s on the highway.

I was talking to the guy about the Comptech exhaust, that was mentioned above. https://www.s2ki.com/...1#entry21565953 .

It is still up for sale. I would have already purchased but I keep changing my mind on which exhaust I want to go with.
