Cool! Much appreciated.

t1r's are super loud right? Especially a single exhaust. I would think the comptech would be fine especially if you put a test pipe on there.

There's a couple versions of the 70R. The first two versions are pretty loud b/c they use a typical straight through, small, round muffler. The EM (Evasive Motorsports) Edition uses a bigger rear muffler like the Sparrow Duals and I think it's called "the Dolphin" but EM has their own version for some reasom. Not sure if it would be considered a V3 or V4?

There's an AutoXr that said his T1R 70R EM passed sound test at an Scca AutoX limited to 94Db. It's one of the more quite 70's.

If it doesn't pass, I guess I'll have to get creative with an added silencer or I'll just not go to the Scca San Diego Tours. Arizona motorsports park (AMP) is limiting cars to 94db as well and they are starting to do events. I'd like to go there sometime! I'm keeping my stock around just in case!

The comptech likely weighs about the same as stock b/c Fujitsubo is around 46lbs I heard. If comptech doesn't drone too bad, the weight is the only other downside unless there's some clearance issue I haven't read about.

Cool. Too bad I don't have a decible reading checker. I'd just take a reading from your car to double check.

Thanks for taking me for a short ride to check out the exhaust. Sounds good.

Starting to think that it doesn't matter what exhaust I get, it's going to be loud at some point once the packing is burnt out and it's a little unrealistic to expect an exhaust system to hit 94 or below without it being restrictive and heavy.

I'm leaning more towards the T1R 70R EM single now and just keeping the stock exhaust around for going to those areas that require 94 db limits.

I have an app on my phone that can measure db levels. Prolly not as accurate as an actual db reader but it can give you an idea. If you have an iphone its called decibel ultra.

I had to buy a stock exhaust just to run at AMP.
My Mugen was over 100db.
Stock exhaust was actually almost fail too at 91db.
