It has the X300 video processor on board, but shares system memory.
You should be able to up the video memory to 64mb in the BIOS. Probably can do it in the advanced display options under control panel also.

Hi guys,
I understand it might be shared now, but that's not in the specifications list when I bought the computer. It clearly shows 64MB DDR ATI Mobility Radeon X300. I am arguing that point since the BIOS shows 32MB.
1) No option in BIOS to change anything related to the video.
2) No option in Windows XP MCE to change the memory going to the video card - looked carefully at every tab and every box - went through RIGHT CLICK on desktop, PROPERTIES, SETTINGS, ADVANCED and through every tab. I tried it on two computers and neither have an option to adjust the video memory. Anything more specific?
The latest driver from Dell is already installed (latest is 9-2005). The latest driver from ATI was released a week ago (11-16-2006). None of the software from ATI included with the drive download is supported on MCE, just the driver itself, according to the install notes.

Dude, love the video. Notice the guy in white, assuming that is Lee, is going to die in battle. He just has a sword and the other guys have guns. Plus his package not only looks, but is pretty small too according to Del.

Then you should have 64mb on the video. If you right click "my computer" and select properties - towards the bottom it will tell you the system memory. Does it match what you have or is it 64mb short?

I have a feature in the BIOS on my laptop to change the video memory from 32MB to 64MB or 128MB. This setting is under the "Advanced" tab in the BIOS.
You should have something similar. If I were you, I wouldn't be touching drivers at this point. There is a setting hidden somewhere, Dell just made it difficult to find.
