Fun In The Sun Planning Thread
I love the gran turismo idea! When are you thinking....for Fri or Sat night? In fact, I recently did a birthday with "Game Truck" and everyone loved it! It's basically a customized truck with 4, 52in flat panel TVs, leather couches and every video game imaginable. Let's talk about this and all the other fun stuff when we get together at my house tomorrow (Sat) at 2PM.
We'll have the signup available via our website shortly! We'll looking to have everyone join us from CA to NM to NV! There'll be a discount at the La Quinta for outta towners (link will be in the signup link) and we'll try to make everyone feel right at home. It will be great to see everyone again and talk about what's been going on since the home-coming. I'm really curious to see what additional mods people have done to their cars - so come show off your cars and win a prize!
We're planning an awesome drive through the AZ desert on Sat morning and then we'll have a blast at the BBQ lunch at Honda of Superstition Springs (with best car, door prizes, car displays, etc., etc.) Anyone have any questions / comments please feel free to email me at: eeeaz@cox.net or call: 623-572-9726.
Ticket price is going to be $25 per person and you'll get a customized T-shirt (with the help of Honda at Superstition Springs of course) and a full Saturday of events. We'll have raffle items and fun galore! Don't forget the dealership is offering a 10% discount on lite services (oil changes, etc.) and parts. They will have their experts on hand to look over your car and answer any questions you might have. In fact, buy a car this weekend from the dealership and get a $2,500 credit appl;ied to your purchase (check out the CR and Mugen Civic on display as temptations).
Don't forget.....The weather in Arizona is perfect in April and check out what else is going on in the valley: AZ Tattoo Expo, Bill Cosby in concert, Celebrity Fight Night, Chandler Jazz Festival, Phoenix Film Festival, The comedy of Ray Ramano and Brad Garrett at the Dodge Theatre, Set in Stone: 2000 Years of Gem and Mineral Trade in the Southwest, Art and Culinary Extravaganza, and Blue Collar Comedy: The Next Generation. If you want to attend any of these events during our "Fun in the Sun" weekend please visit azcentral.com for details, and don't forget, we can assist in getting tickets. See everyone soon!!!

i was thinking at the dealership for something for people to do...
On a diff subject, my DJ still hasn't got back to me. What if I just bring a laptop with a playlist? Can we get some DJ speakers (like the JBL portables)? I'm thinking there isn't really a need to engage someone when no real mixing is required.

Sounds good Wade. What's your plan on the setup? I have a spare 2spkr+sub that I can bring for sound. Would it be better to get two xbox's on two tv's? Then we can do races on Forza2. S2k is already on there with some nice mods.
