So being as I am having to cut back on work in order to go to school full-time, it looks like my S may be going up for sale. Painful it is to think of not driving that car... My first RWD car. (other than an SUV).

Looks like I'll be aiming for a 2001 Integra Type-R (JDM front end too) I've found in southern Cali. Adequate replacement? I know they're not worth the same, and the S is much quicker... but hey, no one can lay any hate on a JDM front-end Type-R in yellow. heheh. Plus to my knowledge there's all of one in yellow in Tucson, and it doesn't have the JDM front.

I hate myself for doing it, but it seems like it's the best option right now. Besides, there's no rule that says I can't buy a new one a few years down the line.

Tell me it's not the biggest mistake I can make?

The DC2 is definitely a classic and the JDM front makes it the poster car of JDM'ness. I still miss mine.

The problem is these are, or at least were getting stolen at the mall every day. I hope you can keep it safe. Is AZTEGS still up?

If you're still a student, why not just pick up a $500 POS that's reasonably reliable transportation and save the cash? Invest in your future, not in your present. You can always get a new S when you make your first million!

Hehe, well since I'm going back to delivering pizza and will be making good cash, despite working only 2 nights a week, I'll be buying a POS anyways. Until then I'll be driving my old prelude, which now happens to be my parents'.

Indeed I could just drive a cheap car and have a lot of extra cash to save- but hey, my car is one of the few things that bring me great joy. Besides, my parents have bestowed onto me a great luxury- they're paying for my college education.

As for the theft issue, I'll be equiping the car with LoJack and if it doesn't already have a pager alarm it will have one the week I get it.

Just give your parents a sob story about how you need to keep the S or you'll be too depressed to concentrate on school. Hey, if they're already paying for school, the car payment is a drop in the bucket.
