Ok I have been looking at houses online and something seems wrong. The prices seem way to cheap. Back home a house like this would have gone for 500k easy. Is the economy really that bad or is there a catch that im not seeing-

Wait until after november to buy a house. There is going to be a third wave of price cuts because a lot more of the ARMS are going to be resetting to higher rates. The 30k a year millionaires are not going to be recovering any time soon.

I used to live in ChiTown area too. I lived in garfield park, horner park, bloomingdale, belvidere, woodstock, and sycamore. I miss the area, not the weather. I laugh at how people complain about traffic around here, Spend a winter in chicago, that traffic sucks!

Ha I do the same. NYC driving the 12 miles into Manhattan can take over an hour. They think going 50 mph is traffic out here.
