The only dignity I have is that's not my scissor jack. That would have really pissed me off.

Peek-a-boo!

The Faqers took my start button!!

My supple red leather

Total tally:
Seats, start button, shift knob, VAFC, Wheels, tires, top pipe of my V2 intake, side markers, oil cap and drivers side floor mat.

Just dunno what to say. This is probably the 4th jacked S in a month?

We do know this...
If your S is outside, some shithead will spot it and return for the kill.
A proximity alarm may have helped.
A hard top could have helped discourage.

I dunno... just looking for suggestions and known deterrents because it sure seems that there is an increase in the jacking activity lately.

Sorry for your loss, Ryan.

That freaking blows. I don't know what to say either ... Look on the bright side Ryan, its time to turn that puppy into a racecar!! Good luck with the insurance and let us know how it turns out. You know where to find me if you need help with anything.

Mervin.

WTF! Can't believe it has happened to yet another member of the group. I have a feeling a single group of people are scouring the valley looking for S2ks to target. The main question I have is where are all of these parts going?

The only thing you can do to protect yourself is park your car in a garage.

I have come to the realization that a hardtop encourages thieves. If they have the ability to take large items such as seats they are easily able to take a hardtop. Hardtops are sought after and easy to sell for top dollar.

OMG! That is BULLSHIT! I can't believe this. I was riding in that car last week. Oil cap too?? Where they just hanging out and couldn't find anything else to take? WTF!?!?

I'm going to start locking mine even when it's in the garage.

I don't want to give the thieves any more ammo. I will explain it in person the next time I see you at the track.

... well ...
The idea of giving ideas to the theives here is two-fold.
1. If they know that a car is armed, then they might stay away.
If they know that we're starting to put on more deterrants... then they might stay away.
2. If we tell them HOW to defeat our new systems, then they might take note and use it against us.

How about this...
We look at candidates for the best alarm, get it, then have a tech day.
It is HOW the alarm is installed that provides the theives with the greatest difficulty. For example, we do NOT have just one main battery. We HIDE a secondary, smaller battery in a place of our choosing - all different and all differently conceiled.

Discuss...

Hmm I disagree, I think 9 out of 10 times they items are stolen to be used in an Integra, Accord, Civic. They have no use for the hardtop.
