Luck plays a part but people who think it is all luck are idiots. You have to be able to hold out for the good hands, know when to fold then, read other people, be patient etc.

I have a co worker that plays poker here in Iraq with me 3 times a week, ive won over 700 bucks playing here (you buy in for free and 1-3rd pays outta 90 people)

He has never won anything and says its all luck that I win.

I simply say then how come the same people are usually at the final table, we are just the bases luckiest people.

I would say if you have 10 players that are absolutely equal in skill and knowledge of the game then I think luck has a bigger part.
